A compilation of some of his funniest headlines. Still cracks me up.
One of the best scenes from X2. Nightcrawler fighting off agents in the Oval office.
I needed a break from studying so here I am writing. More of a time waster than anything.
May 8(Thurs):
I went to San Gennaro with a few people. First time I’ve paid for it, but it was only $5 plus paying for Ted for an additional $5. I didn’t eat there. Food’s overpriced, and the food is never that much better than any other Italian restaurant here. I mean come on, a lot of the cooks are either from Italian restaurants here or home cooking style food. You can get it at a lot of places, it’s just specifically centralized at one place. However, I did play one carnival game which was the basketball shooter. Participants: Andrew Won, Paul Cho, Stanley, and myself. You get 2 shots for $5 or 5 shots for $10. Most of us did $5 like me. Nobody got it… well except me haha. I won one of those big huge dolls, and I didn’t care about the doll so I gave it to anybody who wanted it which was Rena. It was some funny looking cow doll with the body of those workout balls. Chris Sicat came later on, and he also made a shot. Amazing because all his other shots were way off. Everyone looked like they had a good time though. Here’s some private awards I give to people.
Worst excuse for not making a basketball shot: Andrew Won
Messiest eater: Jade
Stupidest Joke that tricked me: Ashley lol. (Want to meet my sidekick? “Where?” *Kick*)
The people who looked most high: Tie between AJ and Rena.
Afterwards, we all went to Sapporo. Chris Lee met us up there also. It was happy hour so beers were only $2.50. Nice. Food was also happy hour, but I didn’t get any. Then after Sapporo, it was off to Little Macau. Stayed there until 4. Got a lot of rest.
May 9(Fri):
I went to the vet at around 2 because my cat has a strange lump on her stomach. I found out that it was a malignant tumor. The cost of surgery and other procedures: $810. I can’t afford it so I asked what was absolutely necessary, and had to cut costs. It came out to $460 for the absolute necessities. Goodbye economic stimulus check, but it’s ok. I love my cat.
The rest of the day was a bit of reading, and at night Charlie wanted to go out. Maybe he wanted to go out since his birthday’s on the 10th. We just went to Chris’, hung out, played video games, or mostly watch other people play games. Then went home at around 4. I also ate a croissantwich from Jack in the Box. I haven’t had one in so long, but it was delicious.
Nike’s 1st person point-of-view of a man playing soccer.

This list is not in any particular order. Sure there’s a lot of sterotypes in this list, but that’s the fun of it. This post will also change because I’m going to add more on to it. Thanks everyone with the ideas.
#10 - Name Brands
Whether you can’t afford, they’ll still have it. Lexus, Gucci, Prada, you know the deal. They may have the crappiest house, but they’ll always have nice material possessions.
#9 - Making Kids Play Piano or Violin
The kids don’t want to learn, but the parents make them. You’ll find that most asian kids have learned though. It’s a force that’s inevitable, but it’s there. What can you do about it though? Nothing.
#8 - Korean Dramas
Good looking guy meets a beautiful woman which happens to be the love of his life. However, the woman has some illness such as cancer. The woman has her cancer removed, and life looks as though it might have a happy ending. However, the woman gets hit by a speeding ambulance (irony always plays a part), and then she passes away. Sad Korean music plays in the background, and the man learns to press forward with his life. What’s not to like?
#7 - Boba
Something about little black balls inside a smoothie type of drink that just gets to Asians. Maybe it’s the smoothie, maybe it’s the tapioca balls, maybe it’s just because you’re able to say you had black balls in your mouth. It could be just the atmosphere of where boba is sold, but whatever the reason, Asian people get boba.
#6 - Fish Sauce
It sounds strange. Not many asians would think of fish sauce to put on this type of list yet I haven’t heard many say that they don’t like it. It’s made in kimchee. Asians dip their egg rolls in it in Vietnamese places. Sure it smells, and it has a weird name. Unknowingly though, it’s what Asian people like.
#5 - Taking pictures
No matter where you go, there just seems to be one person taking pictures in an asian group. Then there are others who just love taking pictures whether it be of themselves or of other asians with goofy siles and peace signs floating about. Taking pictures lets the photographer believe that he’s a professional photographer even though it’s just a picture of a random street sign at 3 in the afternoon or of a park bench with some shadowing. Although most of the poses seem the same, it never seems to get tiring.
#4 - Karaoke
You’ll find them in asian homes, in their restaurants, or just at a karaoke bar itself. Yet you’ll always find an asian person. This is one of the best ways to entertain asians especially Koreans. You’re able to watch random scenes of nature behind the highlighted lyrics while singing all just to get the constant 88+ rating. You’re able to drink, sing, and have a gathering all together.
#3 - Not taking the last piece of food
Now this isn’t as big of a thing now a days growing up in America. However, back in Asia, you won’t see someone ask “Are you going to eat that?” or just go up and grab for the last piece.
#2 - Bargains
Whether they’re finding the best bargains, or bargaining. Asians will take whatever deal they can get. It doesn’t matter if the bargain is only 5% off, as long as there’s some deal involved then all the more power to them.
#1 - Drinking
Now what asian person does not like to drink. Unless they’re allergic to it, they drink. Even if they’re allergic to alcohol, they still like to drink once in a while even though they start looking like oompa loompas.
Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone! Cinco de Mayo is an initial victory of Mexican forces led by General Ignacio Zaragoza Seguín over French forces in the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. It is not Mexico’s Independence Day which is celebrated on Sept 16 which is why it is not a obligatory federal holiday in Mexico. So they better mow my lawn tomorrow. Just kidding, well… they still better haha.
So the past couple weeks, not much has happened. There were a few birthdays. Clay’s at Blush, but I didn’t end up going there. Instead I went to Revolution where I got to see 40 year old women walking around everywhere. I just ended up at Bazik later on. I happened to see everyone there. At first not many people I knew came, but then for some odd reason, everyone happened to come later, even Clay and their group. I also never go to Bazik (Korean drinking place), but Chris Choi wanted to go since it’s a 1 year anniversary thing. I was pretty drunk off beer which was all I stuck to that night. Lately, I’ve been having a lot of fun again flirting with girls. Not sure why because for a long time, I didn’t care for it.
This past weekend, it was Eli’s birthday. I don’t really talk to him much, but it was his birthday and everyone’s birthday should be celebrated. So a few of us ended up playing basketball. Then we went over to Eli’s house to chill. The proposed plan was to barbecue and drink, but we just ended up having pizza from Little Caesar’s. I think we were also celebrating Sausage Fest 2008 because his house was just filled up with a bunch of dudes. Who was there? Andy, Chris Choi, Quinn, Johnny, Billy, Ted, Paul C., Wong, Byungsam, and Bobby. More guys met up later on. We just sat around and watched the game on television, shot the basketball in his backyard, and then hit some whiffle golf balls in the back with his pitching wedge. Aja came along later, and it was fun flirting with her haha. She also brought Eddie Chan, the gay dude. So at Elijah’s house, we had as many gay dudes as there were girls. How sad. They both left like 20 min later.
We then relocated to Bazik, but Gayoung was there. Johnny wanted to leave because he said it was dead in there, but I’m sure there were other reasons haha. Gayoung was also with Lisa. Billy and I were discussing how she looked really good now. Then we went to PT’s on Spring Mt. and Arville, but we left like 5 minutes later because it smelled like white people in there since there were so many people and the A/C was broken or something. So we ended up at Z2. A few more people met up, we ate, drank a bit, and left. A few of us ended up back at Eli’s around 3. They tried to pressure me to smoke weed, but of course, I don’t give in to that kind of pressure with drugs. It’s a good thing Jade called saying to meet her up at Sierra Gold because I didn’t feel like being pressured anymore to smoke. I went to meet her and the other people there up for like a little then went home. It was a tiring day. That pretty much sums up the interesting parts of the weekend.
Synopsis:
Oscar® nominee Robert Downey Jr. stars as Tony Stark/Iron Man in the story of a billionaire industrialist and genius inventor who is kidnapped and forced to build a devastating weapon. Instead, using his intelligence and ingenuity, Tony builds a high-tech suit of armor and escapes captivity. When he uncovers a nefarious plot with global implications, he dons his powerful armor and vows to protect the world as Iron Man. The film also stars Oscar® winner Gwyneth Paltrow and Oscar® nominees Terrence Howard and Jeff Bridges and is directed by Jon Favreau.
Synopsis:
Finally, another Marvel blockbuster has arrived, and the movie is Iron Man. Not since Spider-Man 2 and X-Men have I enjoyed a Marvel movie this much. Robert Downey Jr. doesn’t seem to be the right man to play Tony Stark at first, but he shows a certain charisma that fits the bill. The movie brings fans what they want with a storyline that is very close to the original with a bit of modernization. It’ll bring the audience who doesn’t know a lick about the comics witty dialogue, a good storyline, awesome CGI, and a very well directed movie. There can be some complaint that there isn’t enough action, but this is a developing story and the action that did appear gives a rush. If there’s a sequel that you might want to anticipate more than Transformers, it’ll be this movie. Rating:A+
Synopsis:
Harold and Kumar get themselves in trouble trying to sneak a bong on board a flight to Amsterdam. Now, being suspected of terrorism, they are forced to run from the law and try to find a way to prove their innocence. What follows is an irreverent and epic journey of deep thoughts, deeper inhaling and a wild trip around the world that is as “un-PC” as it gets.
Review:
If you’ve seen the first then you’ll know what to expect from the second. Side comments, childish humor, and now racial stereotypes. All of which make a good movie to laugh at for the typical student or the young at heart who used to get high. If you want stupid comedy to laugh at then this movie has the prescription to fill those needs. Rating: C+/B-
Synopsis:
Produced by the same person who made 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up, Judd Apatow. This romantic disaster comedy is a story of a man named Peter Bretter (Jason Segel) who is dumped by his longtime girlfriend, Sarah Marshall (Kristen Bell). Devastatingly depressed, Peter tries to find solace by taking a vacation to Hawaii only to find that Sarah is there with her new boyfriend, Alduous Snow, a British singing sensation. Peter is befriended by a hotel employee, Rachel Jansen (Mila Kunis), who encourages him to get back on with his life.
Review:
The movie contains all that is presented in Judd Apatow’s usual produced movies: a storyline, comedy, raunchiness, and characters that can all bring about empathy. This comedy brings about the witty humor and dialogue I’m known to love form a Judd Apatow movie along with the regular raunchiness of sexual scenes. If you enjoyed Knocked Up and 40 Year Old Virgin, you’ll enjoy Sarah Marshall. Rating:A-
Sorry, I know it’s been a while since I wrote, but it might be a while again. I’m going to update some stuff on this site to make it a little more efficient, and it’s time to change the look. However, let’s get the story going.
Sat (Mar 29):
Today was Hidey’s birthday so there were quite a few people going to Revolution. More than I want to name. I had a good time though. I stayed there for while, danced with the friends, and got a bit drunk. Then Aaron, I-Juinn, someone else, and I went to eat at Harbor Palace for some late night Chinese food. We saw Kevin’s group there too, and we didn’t know they were going after Revolution either. I forgot to mention that Aaron came down from San Fran today for a week of vacation from work. It was a fun night
Sun - Sat (Mar 30 - Apr 5):
The week was fun. No tests. Worked out, played some April Fool’s pranks on people. The victims were: Aaron, Jade, David K., Chris L. (his was the funniest), Elaine, Eunie, and Ted. There were a couple others, but the jokes were too insignificant to remember. I also went to LAX on the weekend since Aaron wanted to have a last hoorah before he left for San Fran. LAX was fun since we had a table for free, and we only paid gratuity. Thank you, Liberty. She is one hot girl. The last night Aaron was here, a few of us went to his house to play some poker. Ted won that night. I played as well as I could, but the cards weren’t that good, and you can only do so much with a night like that. Then we all went to PT’s, and we drank some more. I didn’t drive for once, but I was stuck there. I stayed there until maybe 6 in the morning with Billy, Daniel Kim, and Ben, just drinking, playing pool, and playing Golden Tee. I haven’t done that in a long time, and I hope it stays that way. We also went to Diablo’s one of the nights.
Fri (Apr 11):
Today was Mark’s birthday. It was also Kevin’s party at his house even though his birthday is on a Saturday. I went to stop by Kevin’s place, and there were so many people there. They were playing beer pong, pool, video games, and etc… It was fun hanging out though. They also had a beer keg. Then I went to Little Macau to meet up with everyone else. I drank a little bit there, and I was getting buzzed. It was pretty chill. No drama though. That’s always a nice thing. I-Juinn got so messed up drinking that night, and he even took a triple shot of Patron. Paul C. had to drive his car while I followed him so that I could take Paul back to his car at Little Macau. That was one long drive especially since there was an accident on the way back home on the freeway that caused all the cars to be stuck for a good hour.
Sat (Apr 12):
It was Chris’ birthday tonight at PT’s. I didn’t do much during the day except do a bit of studying and ate with Jade at Pin Kaow. I also invited Chris to buy him lunch/dinner for his birthday, but Jade bought our food secretly. It was good though. Then it was off to PT’s for Chris’. A good amount of people stopped by. As you can see, I’m sparing a lot of detail of who came, and it’s not that I don’t remember, but it’ll just make the entries too long. It was a fun night though. I got pretty wasted, and Chris definitely got messed up. He had a good hangover the next day.
Sun (Apr 13):
Christy asked if I wanted to go eat pho which was perfect because nobody else really wanted to eat pho. There were 10 of us there. Pho, regularly known as the hangover food for our crew. It was a pretty slow day though. Thank goodness since the couple nights before was about people’s birthdays. It was a good way to end the weekend though.
So that pretty much sums up the past few weeks. Not really detailed, but I think it’s better since there would be way too much to write. I’ll try to keep up with the writing though.
